Abstract
The resonant system described here has several advantages: Calculations are simple, wide flux control is provided and power loss is easy to supply and accurately measure. Safety during a test is improved, since the resonance condition will collapse if circuit failure occurs. The system may not be resonaqt if extensive iron shorts exist and, with lower bus current requirements, breakers or fuses can be coordinated for better protection.
