    The IEEE Computer Society presented Kenneth Batcher with the 2007 Seymour Cray Computer Science and Engineering Award. The IEEE Computer Society awarded David Keyes the 2007 Sidney Fernbach Award. The IEEE Foundation announced that Gordon E. Moore will receive the 2008 IEEE Medal of Honor.
