  • Abstract
The electric power delivery system was designated by the U.S. National Academy of Engineering as the leading engineering development of the 20th century. This engineering marvel is being further updated with new technologies to realize a smarter electric grid. The smart electric grid will be more controllable and interactive compared with the existing electric grid. With growing complexity, there is a crucial need for training and workforce development.
