Abstract :
We investigate the possibility of using the modal theory of the electromagnetic propagation in rectangular or circular tunnels, to satisfactorily interpret experimental results, including polarization, in arched tunnels. This study is based on extensive measurement campaigns carried out in the 450 MHz-5 GHz frequency range.
