Abstract :
A technique for calculating a simple approximation to the probability of error for binary frequency-shift keying (FSK) systems when the predetection bandwidth-bit duration product is large enough so that the signal portion of the detector output is relatively undistorted is described. The results are mathematically simple and avoid the calculation of the density function of the nonclick noise part of the output phase noise.
