Abstract :
In conjunction with broad-band switching matrices, optical fiber delay lines might provide versatile controllable signal processing devices. Methods of composing single and multiple variable delays and both recirculating and nonrecirculating dynamically configurable lattice filters are described. Over the response bandwidths of semiconductor lasers and detectors, optoelectronic matrices are particularly suitable for this application.
