Abstract :
The multimode interference S-bend tap based on the mode-shifting and self-imaging property is proposed to obtain a 5.5% coupling ratio and -0.6 dB polarisation-dependent loss on 12 mum-thick silicon-on-insulator optical waveguides for performance monitoring.
