Abstract
In this paper, time dispersion analysis for ultrawideband (UWB) channel is presented. The time dispersion analysis can be exploited for designing a better adaptive communication system and to define the channel behavior. we conducted channel measurements in an outdoor environment for line-of-sight (LOS) and non-line-of-sight (NLOS) scenarios. Based on these measurements, the root-mean-squared (RMS) delay spread and maximum excess delay time dispersion parameters of the channel, are analyzed. The results show that in NLOS scenario, the RMS delay spread is high and the correlation with separation distance between transmitter and receiver is very low for both LOS and NLOS scenarios.
