Abstract :
Real-time optical OFDM transceivers are successfully demonstrated for the first time, which support 1.5 Gbit/s transmission over 500 m 62.5/125 m multimode fibres in an intensity-modulation and direct-detection system involving a directly modulated DFB laser. The implemented transceivers only use standard commercially available components.
