Abstract
Preparing, submitting, entering data, and evaluating multi-item blanket order bids is a time consuming and laborious procedure. By utilizing a personal computer and a popular spread sheet program, a floppy disk can be formatted to transmit bid information between the utility and manufacturer, and back again. This paper presents the general procedure, layout, and advantages of this system as applied to bidding of distribution transformers.
