Abstract :
A correlation was found between the saturation of silicon content of α-Fe nanocrystals and the improvement of soft magnetic properties (initial permeability, μ1 and power loss, P) as a function of annealing time at about 550°C annealing temperature. The partially crystallised FINEMET has a μ1 comparable to and a P characteristic much better than those of the Co-based zero-magnetostrictive VAC-6025F amorphous alloy
