Abstract :
An electrostatic voltage sensor using two SAW oscillators based on SAW Delta v/v waveguides was constructed. The frequency difference between these two oscillators is proportional to the electrostatic voltage applied between the waveguides and special planar electrodes. The steepness of voltage-frequency characteristic as high as 1.32 kHz/V was obtained that provided a very high sensitivity, several orders of magnitude higher than in all SAW voltage sensors reported previously.
