Abstract :
A simple peak-to-average power ratio (PAR) reduction scheme using a symbol transform in CDMA/OFDM based transmission systems is presented. This approach is very simple because there is no additional complexity and it works with an arbitrary numbers of subcarriers and without restriction on the allocation of spreading code, maintaining the original transmission efficiency. Further PAR reduction can be explored by modifying the selective mapping approach at the expense of additional side information bits, which gives nearly same transmitter complexity.
