Abstract :
This paper describes a method useful for minimizing the ground-level electric field in rights-of-way containing multiple ac transmission lines. The method involves the use of delta circuits placed alongside EHV transmission lines. By properly positioning and rotating the phases of the lower voltage deltas in space, the electric field profile can be shaped and significantly reduced.
