Abstract
The capacity of a wireless system is subject to fading and interference as well as temporal and spatial variations in data traffic. To overcome these setbacks, we adopt a parallel symbol transmission scheme and use a protocol that adjusts the duration (or length) of symbols based on the. instantaneous channel and interference conditions. We show that the proposed protocol is capable of providing higher capacity than the existing protocols.
