Abstract :
Normal confi. gurations and accuracy requirements can easily result in an excessive number of nodes in a three dimensional grid. A computer program is described, which circumvents this problem by a two stage solution. The first stage employs a fairly coarse three dimensional grid. This initial calculation is only used to provide boundary potentials for a final two dimensional calculation, near the most highly stressed electrode.
