    An important part of the Certificate in Technical Communication Program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison College of Engineering is the technical communication internship, which integrates on-the-job experience with classroom experience. The certificate program requirements and the internship are described. Students who plan careers both in technical writing and in engineering report that they have found the internship valuable
