  • Abstract
The vision system can differentiate a misalignment of two lines up to 1/10 of photoreceptor size (called hyper-acuity), even though its retinas are moving randomly. Over the last few decades, several theories have been proposed to explain this phenomenon. Using computer simulation, it is shown that a device can be built to achieve hyper-acuity. The study also reveals several interesting insights.
