  • Abstract
    First order quasiphase matched second harmonic generation in LiNbO3 channel waveguides is experimentally demonstrated and compared with theoretical estimation. Conversion efficiencies of 11%/W for 1 cm long interaction length were measured for the generation of 435 and 450 nm blue light, which is the same order of magnitude as calculated for the structure.
