Abstract :
Synthesis of active RC networks realized by two amplifiers is shown. The networks have zero sensitivity to changes of the amplifier gains, if changes in the gains are in the same direction and proportional to each gain, as actually occurs with normal amplifiers. Three types of networks are suggested and design equations derived. It is shown by theory and confirmed by experiment that even very large changes of the amplifier gains have little influence on the characteristics. Higher-order filters are realizable by this method. Because only amplifiers are used, the networks are adaptable for solid-state technology.
