Abstract :
An original concept for calculating the line capacitance of a microstrip line is presented. An equivalent circuit is created and analysed using the electrical software SPICE; the line capacitance on the inhomogeneous lossless dielectrical layer is deduced by using one impedance-admittance transformation. The numerical results agree well with those of other standard published methods.
