Pioneer in Mixed Signal Circuits will Receive IEEE Gustav Robert Kirchhoff Award at ISSCC 2007, Yannis P. Tsividis to be honored in February for contributions to circuits and MOS device modeling.

Yannis P. Tsividis will receive the IEEE Gustav Robert Kirchhoff Field Award for contributions to circuits and MOS device modeling at the plenary session of the ISSCC on 12 February 2007. Dr. Tsividis, the Charles Batchelor Memorial Professor of Electrical Engineering at Columbia University, began his career by demonstrating the feasibility of MOS mixed-signal circuits. His book, "Operation and Modeling of the MOS Transistor" is a standard reference in the field.
