Abstract :
Today we enjoy today an abundance of electronic capability enabled by successive generations of technology scaling. While transistor device technologies have evolved to circumvent limitations arising from power consumption, variability, and atomistic-level physics, what has been less apparent is the circuit design response to these device changes. This article provides a glimpse at what´s happened over the years in circuit styles including Push-Pull Logic, Bootstrapping, E/D Decoding, Static Combinatorial, DCVS, Pass-Gate/T-Gate, Dynamic Domino, Body-Biasing, Sub Vt Operation.
