Abstract :
Human computer interaction (HCI) is gradually getting an attention. Head pose information is needed for efficient and intuitive control of consumer devices or products. In this paper, an algorithm for head pose estimation is proposed, in which a coplanar face model customized for user is automatically generated. Therefore, the proposed algorithm can be used to estimate the head pose without a priori information of the specific user such as geometrical information of face. This algorithm can be used in HCI applications for general user.
