Abstract :
An algorithm is presented for the development and optimisation of medium-voltage bushing built-in SF6 switchgear using numerical calculations on the basis of the finite-element method. The algorithm also enables a universal approach to the design of other medium-voltage switchgear elements. It includes the use of numerical analysis with a newly developed automatic finite-element mesh generator, parametrisation of the input data algorithm, and the use of an automated optimisation algorithm. The main emphasis is on an approach to modelling on the basis of evolution strategy optimisation.
