Abstract
A decoupled version of the microwave two-wire line is presented which readily yields a wave digital equivalent. This is used as a basis for deriving a wave digital realization of a C-section with transmission zero greater than unity. A structure is also presented which can realize a C-section with transmission zero less than unity. It is shown that the reference filters used to derive the wave digital structures are no longer valid as reference filters when the multiplier coefficients of the structures are quantized. An active nonreciprocal reference filter is required under these circumstances. The effect of this on sensitivity is discussed.
