Abstract :
Based on the characteristic function of the sum of correlated gamma random variables and an alternative expression of Q-function, a simple bit error rate (BER) expression is derived for the multicarrier code division multiple access (MC-CDMA) systems with maximal ratio combining (MRC) in correlated Nakagami-m fading channels. The much simpler approximate average BER expression using exponential approximation of the Q-function is also derived.
