Abstract :
An iterative optimization technique, based on a Modified Marquardt algorithm, is proposed for the design of asymmetric 2-D half-plane recursive digital filters with a zero-phase implementation. To illustrate the technique a fan-filter and a circular lowpass filter were designed. The technique can also be used for the design of quarter-plane filters.
