Abstract :
The upcoming 1992 World Administrative Radio Conference is discussed. The reasons for its importance are given, and three new types of services that are high on the list for consideration are examined. They are universal personal telecommunications, digital audio broadcasting, and high-definition satellite TV. US preparations for the conference and important international alliances are discussed.<>
