Abstract :
A single-element cylindrical dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) with air intrusion is examined to design a new wideband wireless antenna. An efficient design with 66% impedance bandwidth, thus accommodating four wireless bands (DCS, PCS, UMTS, WLAN) with 7.258.61-dBi peak gain, has been experimentally demonstrated. This is a commercially viable compact antenna to serve for those four commercial bands.
