Abstract :
Dallas Power & Light Company initiated a research project during the fall of 1976 to develop new emergency current ratings for the overhead and underground portions of its 13 kV distribution system. The main thrust of this project was a full scale testing program during the summers of 1977 and 1978. This paper contains the results of this testing program and the reasons for the research project itself.
