Abstract :
Recently, symbol-based beamforming/combining has been introduced for OFDM systems with multiple transmit and receive antennas. Despite the complexity reduction, the resultant SNR values of different subcarriers are often not balanced, and it limits the system performance. In this letter, we propose to use the max-min criterion to overcome the problem. Simulation results show that the error-rate performance of the proposed symbol-based processing scheme can be improved as compared with that of the conventional one.
