Abstract :
A series of new relays with excellent distortion-tolerating characteristics was successfully developed as a result of designs based on a thorough analysis of the transient waveform distortion phenomena present in actual EHV systems. The performance of the relays was assessed by unique test methods. The developed relay system now in actual use is described.
