Abstract :
This paper describes the design and development of a 10.6 watt EPC using pushpull topology at 100 kilo Hertz switching frequency. This multiple output EPC is designed for 70±2 volt DC input voltage. Salient features of this design are the use of current mode control, low dropout series regulator in all auxiliary output lines to meet stringent line and load regulation requirements, input EMI filter, interface circuits for ON/OFF command, telemetry and EPC frequency synchronization signal. The EPC is fabricated on two layer FR4 laminate PCB and integrated with PLC subsystem. The test results are shown at the end which shows excellent performance validation. The EPC has gone through test and evaluation sequences over temperature extremes from -15°C to 55°C to qualify the EPC for space usage.
