Abstract :
In order to achieve time-optimal seek performance on a hard disk drive servo system with different plant parameters, this paper presents an adaptive control scheme that uses a velocity trajectory of the plant during acceleration to adjust the switching curve of a robust near time-optimal seek controller. The simulation results show that the proposed method is robust to variations of actuator parameters and that it could achieve near time-optimal seek performance.
