Abstract :
The performance of a UTD-based model for path loss prediction in cellular radio systems is investigated. The model´s performance is shown to compare favourably with physical optics based techniques, and to accurately predict the dependency of path loss on both path length and base station antenna height within certain bounds. The bounds of applicability reported show that such a model could find application in planning cellular systems with small urban cells
