Abstract :
For discrete coefficient IIR filters, low sensitivity (e.g. wave) structures have been preferred to other (e.g. direct, cascade and parallel) structures due to their requirement for shorter wordlengths. Multiplier blocks, using redundancy between coefficients, can make these structures comparable or superior to wave filters in implementation complexity
