Abstract
Ternary PIN-PMN-PT single crystals are successfully grown by the continuous feeding growth (hereafter abbreviated as CFG). CFG is a promising growth technique to obtain single crystals with the uniform compositions to depress the effect of segregation of components, and commercially utilized by JFE MINERAL Co. Ltd. In this paper, the results of CFG applied to grow ternary PIN-PMN-PT system including Kr, Ec and characteristic temperature (Tc, Trt) are described. Recent results by optimizing growth conditions are also presented. Variation of Ti (PT) concentration in the crystal is reduced to +/- 2.5% according to XRF analysis by optimization.
