Abstract :
A finite element method is presented for computing the dispersion curve of closed, singly periodic 3-D waveguides. The validity of the method is verified by comparing its results with published experimental and numerical data. Three types of finite elements are used. The covariant projection vector elements and the first two hierarchical tetrahedral vector elements
