Abstract :
Methods are described for using microscopic techniques to assess adequacy of clinker quality. The usefulness of the microscope in evaluating kiln burning parameters and raw feed preparation is discussed. Specific quality problems diagnosed using microscopic techniques are presented, and measures designed to correct the problems are suggested.
