Abstract :
It is shown that the negative resistance LC oscillator with the de source controlled by a switch exhibits continuous chaos, islands, and various periodic vibrations. The circuit is analyzed by using the mapping procedure and Poincaré Map can be derived strictly as a one-dimensional piecewise-linear mapping containing three parameters. Therefore, analytical results can be obtained for chaotic phenomena generated by the circuit. Moreover, theoretical results are verified experimentally.
