Abstract :
Magnetoimpedance (MI) is an extending area of research because of its importance for low-field magnetic sensors. Due to the high-frequency principle of operation, MI sensors have to be designed in accordance with radio-frequency (RF) schemes. A widely used RF technique, consisting of three-element T-models of matching networks has been applied, to design electronic interfaces for GMI sensors based on high-frequency modulation. Results show the achievement of an optimal transfer of power from the oscillator to the sensing load, together with a substantial enhancement of the modulation sensitivity.
