Abstract :
The increased emphasis on energy conservation and the rising cost of electric energy have forced users of power transformers to consider the cost of transformer losses. Most of the commonly encountered factors used in transformer selection are reviewed, and a guideline is presented which will assist users in both selecting and operating power transformers more efficiently.
