Abstract :
In this paper, a detailed theoretical study using a computer simulation and a system experiment centering large signal optical parametric amplification in type I β-BaB2O4 are presented. Pumped by 354.7 mm 30 ps laser pulses, the experimental results agree with the theoretical analysis and the computer simulation. A tunable wavelength of 420-2800 nm, a linewidth less than 0.5 nm, and a peak power of 51 MW have been obtained. The highest one-BBO-OPA energy conversion efficiency has been up to 61%
