Abstract :
The development of an electronically controlled fuel injection system is important to reduce the emissions and noise from the diesel engine. In order to design a high response magnetic solenoid actuator which is used for the fuel injection system, an optimal design of magnetic circuit is required. In this paper, a practical software using the 3-D finite element method with edge element is developed. The software is applied to the analysis of an actuator taking into account the eddy current and the motion of armature
