Abstract :
We have manufactured anisotropic composite materials from ferromagnetic thin films with high permeability and low permittivity for one polarization. The geometry of the composite was also adapted so that the large impedance was obtained for the fundamental propagation mode in a coaxial line. We report measurements of the complex permittivities and permeabilities on several composites in the 0.1 GHz to 18 GHz range. While permittivity levels remained small (typically less than 5) high permeability levels mere obtained, with the product of initial permeability-by-resonance-frequency as high as 260 GHz
