Abstract :
The selected elimination of six multiple harmonies in magnetic flux is proposed for PWM inverters used to drive induction motors. PWM switching patterns are derived from the direct elimination of radial fluctuation of rotating flux in the motor. All harmonies below the 66th are eliminated, and the zero-vector splitting method is utilized to obtain a high-frequency efficient PWM. The authors clarify the dependencies of torque ripple on motor parameters utilizing the indices of the pulsation of rotating flux in analytical form. The microprocessor-implemented experimental results are also added, and the dead-zone for device protection is simultaneously compensated
