Abstract :
Distributed generation (DG) has been heavily promoted in the world, either by developing new environmental technologies or due to technical factors and economic purposes [1]. Many countries with DG have regulations that allow compensation for the energy fed into the grid, using alternative billing as the Net-Metering model, among others. However, there are still some countries without regulation for surplus energy remuneration, and where even the DG is prohibited [2]. This paper presents an alternative technique that allows the use of DG systems in countries with regulatory constraints: when the user consumption is less than the generated energy, this generated energy user is stored like in a stand-alone system. Taking as a case study a Grid Connected Photovoltaic System (GCPVS), the system design, the proposed control algorithm, the particular scenarios that must be evaluated to determine the operation of the system and the developed software are shown. Finally, the Management System performance is evaluated.
