Abstract :
Most model measurements are made on models which simulate only the geometrical configurations of the lines of force in the fields of the full-scale system, and thus yield only relative results for many of the properties of the system. It is possible, however, to devise models in which the measurements are on a quantitative or absolute basis in terms of the full-scale system. The conditions to be satisfied in an absolute model for accurate simulation are derived. The limitations imposed on practical models are discussed.
