Abstract :
This paper presents the performance of scattering parameters from different types of transparent conductive thin film. In this study, four types of optically conductive thin film i.e. AgHT-4, AgHT-8, ITO, and Kapton film have been investigated. Each film was designed with triangular loop shape and positioned on top of cover glass of solar panel and grounded RT/Duroid 5880 substrate. The element was designed to operate at Ku-band frequency range. Simulation results from the CST microwave studio showed that element of Kapton film exhibits the best scattering parameter performance. The bandwidth can achieve 15.2%, while the linear phase range reaches 361°. It also demonstrated that the dual frequency operational element contributes the lowest phase slope value of around 0.063°/μm.
